THURSDAY 8 JUNE LATHCOATS FARM, BEEHIVE LANE, CHELMSFORD 6pm
Transport can be arranged from the Vineyards 5.30pm Cost £6.00
We all know this third generation family fruit farm for its great variety of produce, growing over 40 different English apples along with the famous Bee Shed coffee house. But would you like a look behind the scenes? Mr Taylor will guide us around the farm. The evening will conclude with inclusive tea/coffee and cake.
SUNDAY 25 JUNE CHIPPING CAMDEN & KIFTSGATE COURT GARDENS DEPART 8.30am COST £25.00
Spectacularly set on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment the gardens were constructed by Heather Muir in the 1920’s. Ann Chambers now carries on the family tradition in developing the gardens by adding new features such as the water garden. There are borders in various colour themes and of course the famous Kiftsgate Rose, Rosa Filipes “Kiftsgate”. Prior to the gardens we will stop in the Cotswold village of Chipping Camden for lunch. The tearooms at the gardens offer all types of refreshments.
SUNDAY 16 JULY GRIMSTHORPE CASTLE PARK & GARDENS, LINCOLNSHIRE

Strictly speaking it is not a castle but a historic house designed by John Vanburgh and enlarged to host King Henry VIII on his progress to the North in 1541. It contains many rooms with fine paintings, tapestries, furniture and ceramics. In the grounds are formal and ornamental gardens, topiary, vegetables and an herbaceous border. All types of refreshments are available including afternoon tea.
SUNDAY 13 AUGUST GREAT COMP GARDENS, SUMMER SHOW, SEVENOAKS
DEPART 9.30am COST £23.00
Said to be one of the finest in Kent, the wonderfully quirky gardens show 7 acres of beautiful and rare plants including a large collection of salvias, surrounding the 17th century manor house. We visit the weekend of the Summer Festival which includes plant sales, local artists and jazz bands with Pimm’s on the lawn. Light lunches and refreshments are available at the Old Dairy tearooms.
SUNDAY 24 SEPTEMBER RHS GARDEN WISLEY, SURREY

One of the gardens of the world, RHS Garden Wisley is home to some of the largest plant collections anywhere on the globe. Looked after by 90 staff, the garden aims to inspire and educate. The new glasshouse is a must to visit along with the trial fields, mixed borders and exotic plant collections. All types of refreshments are available at the many outlets.
